Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a non-surgical treatment to prevent and treat common signs of aging.
How does Microneedling Therapy work?
Microneedling creates micro-wounds in the skin with a special microneedling device. This stimulates the production of collagen in the skin for a more youthful complexion.
During your microneedling treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to your treatment area. Then our esthetician will move the microneedling device across your skin to create micro-wounds and stimulate collagen production.
The microneedling treatment should not be painful, although some might feel slight discomfort. The length of the treatment will depend on the size of the treatment area.
Who makes a good Microneedling Therapy candidate?
You may be a microneedling therapy candidate if you have the following traits:
- You are in reasonably good health
- You have realistic expectations for the outcome of your procedure
- You do not smoke
- You are emotionally stable
- You want to improve the appearance of your complexion
